Why We Started T1DHeros

Type 1 diabetes doesn’t take days off.

From early mornings to late nights, it’s a constant balance of technology, routines, and trust—trust that devices will stay on, work properly, and keep up with real life.

Like many families living with Type 1 diabetes, we learned quickly that it’s not just about insulin or numbers. It’s about the little things—like a sensor staying secure during school, play, sleep, showers, and everything in between.

That’s where our journey began.

A Family Living Real Life With Type 1 Diabetes

T1DHeros was created by a family living with Type 1 diabetes every single day. Our daughter wears diabetes technology as part of her normal routine—while learning, playing, creating, and being a kid.

We’ve dealt with sensors peeling off at the worst moments, skin irritation from adhesives, and the constant worry of devices failing when they’re needed most. We tried what was available and found that too often, solutions were made without real daily use in mind.

So we decided to change that.

Designed From Experience — Not Guesswork

Every T1DHeros patch is designed with real-world wear in mind:

  • Comfortable for sensitive skin
  • Secure hold without unnecessary bulk
  • Styles that feel confident, fun, and normal—not clinical

We test our products the same way our family uses them—during busy days, long nights, and active moments where diabetes doesn’t get to press pause.

Our goal is simple: help diabetes technology stay where it belongs, so life can keep moving.

More Than a Product — A Community

T1DHeros isn’t just a store. It’s a brand built on empathy, experience, and the belief that people living with Type 1 diabetes deserve products made with intention.

We’re just getting started, and we’re committed to listening, improving, and growing alongside the diabetes community.
